本發明提供一種過渡金屬二次電池，包含負極、正極及電解液。負極包含負極材料，負極材料為過渡金屬或所述過渡金屬的合金。正極電性連接負極，並包含宿主材料及正極材料，正極材料連接宿主材料。宿主材料包含碳，正極材料為金屬的化合物、單質硫族元素或單質鹵族元素。電解液設置於正極及負極之間。透過選取過渡金屬為負極，藉以達到良好的電容量及電池穩定性。
