In a method of person identification based on gait analysis and used to identify the identity of a person to be identified, a computer system is configured to perform the steps of: obtaining a sequence of gait data to be identified regarding the person to be identified during a walking period; obtaining a group identification result indicating whether the person to be identified belongs to a predetermined group composed of a plurality of predetermined persons using a first gait recognition model and a second gait recognition model based on the sequence of gait data to be identified; and obtaining an identification result indicating that the person to be identified is one of the predetermined persons using a third gait recognition model based on the gait data sequence to be identified when the group identification result indicates that the person to be identified belongs to the predetermined group.
