A hanging drop device is provided in the present disclosure. The hanging drop device includes a hanging drop box and a negative pressure module. The hanging drop box includes a plate and a cover being coupled with the plate to delimit a pressure chamber. The cover includes an upper surface and a bottom surface opposite to the upper surface, and a plurality of wells is recessed from the upper surface. Each well is communicated with the pressure chamber through a hole, and is for containing liquid. The negative pressure module is communicated with the pressure chamber and generates a negative pressure in the pressure chamber. Therefore, the liquid in each well is driven to pass through the hole and forming a hanging drop hanging from the bottom surface of the cover. By operating the negative pressure module, it is able to make the liquid in the wells form the hanging drops rapidly, which significantly increases convenience and efficiency without excess cost. Moreover, the hanging drops formed by the hanging drop device of the present disclosure are independent of each other, reducing the possibility of contamination happening between the hanging drops. |
