The present invention relates to microfluidic wafers for obtaining sperm with high velocity and/or motility and applications thereof. The microfluidic wafer includes an inlet zone, a first flow channel, a bifurcated flow channel, a desired rounded block structure and one or more outlet zones. The present invention simulates the sperm activation process in vivo and designs a microfluidic wafer simulation activation process to obtain higher amounts of sperm populations and/or subpopulations with high exercise capacity and/or activity.

The present invention relates to microfluidic wafers for obtaining sperm with high velocity and/or motility and applications thereof.
