The present disclosure provides a wood adhesive, including a first component and a second component. The first component includes γ-polyglutamic acid, and the molecular weight of the γ-polyglutamic acid is 50000 to 2000000. The second component includes a polymeric quaternary amine, and the polymeric quaternary amine is obtained by diethylenetriamine. The weight ratio of the first component to the second component is between 1:2 and 2:1. Accordingly, the wood adhesive of the present disclosure is obtained by mixing γ-polyglutamic acid and the polymeric quaternary amine to have formaldehyde-free release and biodegradability. That is favorable for the environmental protection and cost-effectiveness.
