An aminoferrocene derivative is represented by the formula (I): ＃＃STR00001＃＃ wherein Ar.sup.1 and Ar.sup.2 independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.6-C.sub.10 aryl group. The aminoferrocene derivative is useful for forming a p-type carrier generation layer of a tandem OLED so that the tandem OLED has superior luminous efficiencies in terms of maximum luminance, maximum external quantum efficiency, maximum current efficiency, etc.
